Valuation of immovable property
Cushman & Wakefield provides a service line regarding the WOZ assessment and we are convinced that this can be of great interest for you. For several clients this service has proven to be very successful. Our experienced specialists advise the following approach.
In January / February 2015 you will receive the new valuation of immovable property (WOZ) / property tax (OZB) from the municipality. We will check the valuation, as well as its legal aspects. Based on this quick scan we are able to judge whether the valuation is reasonable or set too high.
If we believe this valuation is too high we will advise you to dispute the valuation which should result in a decrease of property tax and possibly it can also increase your potential depreciation for income tax. That can be a considerable amount!
Definite and final assessment
We will make it known to the municipality that we dispute the WOZ value. Then we shall prepare the argument including the WOZ value that we feel is reasonable.
The municipality will respond to this with a definite and final assessment of the WOZ value.
No Cure - No Pay
We can work with you on a no cure – no pay basis and if we manage to successfully dispute the initial values our remuneration will be equal to 50% of the realised decrease in tax and a possible reduction of legal costs. This also means that if Cushman & Wakefield does not realise any savings, our service will be free of charge.
We are at your disposal for any further information.
