Amsterdam, 1 December 2016 – Today marks the start of the new traineeship programme at Cushman & Wakefield in the Netherlands. A group of nearly thirty trainees will undergo a year-long training as a real estate adviser. The traineeship programme was started twenty years ago by property consultant DTZ Zadelhoff, which since two weeks ago forms part of the Cushman & Wakefield group.
Jeroen Lokerse, Head of Netherlands Cushman & Wakefield: “This traineeship program is one of the first initiatives since the merger. Investing in talent is essential to us as it is through the skill and expertise of our people that we can provide excellent services. I am therefore proud to see such a large group of talented individuals start this programme today.”
A traineeship period of one year is followed by basic and supplementary theory courses and concluded with an exam. Besides daily support by a mentor, trainees also participate in theoretical and practical exercises, whereby much attention is given to personal development. One of the development instrument used is Insights Discovery, which highlights behavioural preferences and provides a concrete framework for the development of personal effectiveness.
All trainees have undergone a university or higher professional education, with diverse areas of study. In the past twenty years, this successful trainee programme has produced numerous talented professionals who since hold senior management or directorship positions within the organisation. But former trainees have also made their career outside the company and now occupy leading positions in the Dutch real estate market.
The group for autumn 2016-2017 consists of 28 trainees.
