International real estate consultant Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Elsbeth Quispel (38) as Head of Strategic Consulting & Sustainability. Quispel will join the company on January 1, 2017 as partner and member of the management team in the Dutch organisation. Her appointment follows two weeks after the announcement of the Leadership Team at Cushman & Wakefield in the Netherlands, following the acquisition of DTZ in November 2016.
Jeroen Lokerse, Head of the Netherlands, said: "We will further strengthen our position as frontrunners, also in strategic advice and sustainability. Our strategic advisory service will operate independently from our transaction practice and work as a catalyst for further strengthening our client relationships. We have been a leader in the sector for years and this objective remains the same in the new, combined organization. The appointment of Elsbeth, a highly experienced strategic advisor and an absolute specialist in sustainability, ensures that we will continue to be a leading player."
Quispel worked the past four years as Managing Director ESG & Real Estate at GRESB. GRESB is an international organisation dedicated towards the assessment and benchmarking of environmental, social and governance performances of international real estate organisations. Her previous positions include that as associate director of the strategic advisory department at JLL, where she was responsible for the Green Desk and corporate consulting for occupiers. Quispel developed the GreenLease (a green lease contract ensuring sustainable use and management of office locations) and The Third Dimension, a risk management tool for investors.
