Restaurant chain Vapiano has leased 1,138 sqm in shopping center Heuvel Eindhoven, an investment of CBRE Global Investors. The new location of Vapiano will include 325 sqm on the ground floor and 813 sqm on the first floor. After a thorough renovation, the restaurant will open its doors at the end of the first quarter of 2015. The restaurant in Eindhoven is the sixth restaurant Vapiano in the Netherlands and the first restaurant outside the Randstad. Vapiano currently has over 130 Italian restaurants in 28 countries.
After H&M, Vapiano is the second tenant who signs for a large retail unit in the Heuvel. The coming of Vapiano and the expansion of the H&M to 3,300 sqm are part of the upgrade of the mall and fits into the strategy to merge retail units on the ground floor with other floors. In the past year, the parking garage and the common areas in de Heuvel are already renovated. Soon they will start with closing the ground floor in the Forum, on the south side of the mall, which will create a new shopping plaza.
Cushman & Wakefield and RSP Makelaars take care of the leasing management for landlord CBRE Global Investors. Brecheisen Makelaars advised the tenant Vapiano.
